Initial consultation

A conversation before anything else. We talk through what you are hoping to work on, explain what neurofeedback training involves, and answer questions without pressure to continue.

Who it is forAnyone considering neurofeedback for themselves or a family member.

Two people seated across a low table in a bright consultation room, in conversation.

In detail

The initial consultation exists so that you can make an informed decision. It is a discussion, not an assessment of your health and not a diagnostic appointment. Nothing is recorded from your brain during this conversation.

We use the time to explain what neurofeedback is, what it is not, and where its limits sit. If what you are looking for is outside the scope of this practice, we will say so plainly and suggest that you speak with a qualified health professional instead.

You are welcome to bring someone with you, to ask for written information to take away, or to leave and think about it. There is no obligation to book anything further.

What this covers

  • An explanation of neurofeedback in plain language
  • Time for your questions, including questions about limitations
  • A description of how sessions are generally structured
  • Practical information: scheduling, contact, and how records are handled

What it does not include

  • A diagnosis or a clinical opinion about a condition
  • Advice about medication, which belongs with your prescriber
  • Any promise about results

If this is the part you want to ask about, mention it in your request.
